"“The most wonderful thing in the world is somebody who knows who they are and knows where they’re going and knows what they were created to do.”
— Bishop T.D. Jakes
Genevieve (Genny) Hagerty, M.D. has known she wanted to help people live joyful, healthy lives since she was in her teens, and by following her passion, she has excelled. After graduating from Dublin High School in Ohio, she was awarded a Glenna R. Joyce Scholarship, which goes to students with superior academic performance, strong character and financial need. The scholarship enabled her to attend the University of Notre Dame, from which she graduated summa cum laude, with the highest GPA in the College of Science for her graduating class. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology while also completing a minor in theology. Also, two honor societies accepted her — Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society and Alpha Epsilon Delta, which recognizes health preprofessionals.
To turn her dream into reality, she attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Medicine. Again, her path was strewn with accolades, including being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and receiving the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation. During an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Ohio State University Medical Center, she put her knowledge to work by caring for women and newborns. In 2002, she accepted a position with Southwestern OB/GYN.
In 2016, Dr. Hagerty felt it was time to chart her own course by opening a practice that she could mold after her ideals. She aspired to provide a loving, accepting, natural environment for patients, fostering their self-worth and empowering them with the education they needed to be as healthy as possible. To supplement the care Dr. Hagerty provides, she has partnered with the healthcare experts at Mount Carmel Medical Center.
Today, Dr. Hagerty lives in Dublin with her husband and three children. She is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrician and Gynecologists.

"God, help us this day to offer ourselves completely to you in our work, to give of ourselves to our patients and each other, to foster health in mind, body and spirit, and to see you in those we serve."
